ABC/R (Augmented Bolt Catch / Release)
Designed for TDP-spec AR15/M16 rifles in 5.56mm.
Not supported on 9mm PCCs due to non-standard dimensions.
The ABC/R is built to solve one problem: poor bolt catch access on rifles with ambidextrous magazine releases. Standard bolt catches sit on the same plane as ambi mag paddles, making them hard to find by feel. ABC/R physically separates the controls so you can run the gun without looking—gloved or not.
Design Highlights
- Forward-extended, angled lower paddle increases surface area and moves it away from ambi mag releases
- Enlarged, angled upper paddle for easier thumb or palm activation
- Tactile index notch clearly marks the start of the lower paddle for blind operation
Construction
- Machined from billet AISI 8620 steel
- Heat treated with DLC finish
- Tool marks may be present—purely cosmetic
- Built for duty, LE, and MIL use, not appearance contests
- Made in the USA

- All variants except MARS-L are current 2025 v4
- MARS-L compatible version remains v3, v4 planned for 2026
- v4 compatible with TDP-spec or near-spec lowers
- Not compatible with:
- Battle Arms billet lowers
- Boonie Packer Ready-Catch
- Noveske N4 Gen 4 lowers
- Lowers with a vertical fence above the mag catch
Upper Paddle Options (v4)
- FB (Forward Biased): Right-handed reloads using left thumb
- Standard: Centered, non-biased
- RB (Rearward Biased): Left-handed index-finger operation
