KAC – Knight’s Armament RAS MRE-Model B Handguard w/ Rail Filler Kit is an original piece of military issued kit in the early Global War On Terror. Now, the MRE Model-B is highly sought after by collectors and clone builders to add to their collections.
The design elements of the MRE Model-B came together to integrate with the established SOPMOD Block 1 kit. KAC paid careful attention to detail to deliver on several key requests:
- Free floats the M4A1 barrel to increase accuracy and minimize heat transfer
- Top rail same height as the upper receiver
- MRE Barrel Nut Is extra rigid to support the weight of accessories out front
- Interoperability with Optics
- Compatibility with the Enhanced Grenade Launcher Module (EGLM)
- Upper and Lower rails reverse for lower mounting of PEQ-2 to keep the laser below the BUIS line of sight
