Unlike riflescopes based on electrical to optical converters” thermal imaging riflescopes do not require an external light source and are resistant to high levels of illumination. These riflescopes come with a built-in high precision rangefinder with a maximum range of 800 meters (875 yards). These riflescopes are designed for hunting” target shooting and other forms of recreational shooting.
